Post Launch Testing Subsystem

The Post-Launch Subsystem consists of test and measurement instruments, including spectrum analyzers covering frequencies from 10 Hz to 2900 MHz, signal generators, uplink antennas, power amplifiers, and a control computer system. The uplink antennas consist of 121.5, 243.0, and 406.0 MHz Yagi antennas.

The purpose of the Post Launch Subsystem is to perform on-orbit testing of search and rescue instruments on board NOAA Polar Operational Environmental Satellites (POES). The testing characterizes the instrument performance relative to pre-launch test data.
