Coast Guard PACAREA Rescue Coordination Center received the SARSAT alert and broadcast a request for assistance. A US Army tugboat responded to the request. The crew of the tugboat found the vessel in distress, provided fuel and escorted them toward port. The Mexican Navy arrived and escorted the vessel to Cabo San Lucas.

South of Barrow, Alaska
The Alaska Recue Coordination Center received the 406 MHz PLB alert when a person on a snow mobile activated his PLB after the snow machine failed. The individual was traveling from Barrow to his hometown of Wainwright, Alaska. Additionally the weather was extremely cold with temperatures of -42 C. A two man ground team departed Barrow and rescued the individual. All three people returned safely to Barrow.

The Air Force Rescue Coordination Center received a 406 MHz alert when the owner of a PLB activated his beacon after he and his wife became stuck in mud for over a day. The Arizona Department of Public Transportation located and assisted the two people.

Kodiak Island, Alaska
Coast Guard District 17 Rescue Coordination Center received the SARSAT alert when the operator of the fishing vessel Clyde activated his EPIRB after his vessel ran aground. Three crewmen were removed from the vessel but the master and his first mate remained onboard to attempt to re-floot the vessel at high tide.

Fort Myers, Florida
Coast Guard District seven Rescue Coordination Center received a 406 MHz alert when the operator of the sailing vessel HOT TICKET activated his EPIRB when his vessel became disabled and began taking on water. A Coast Guard aircraft arrived on scene and monitored the situation while the hole was patched. A Coast Guard cutter arrived to take the vessel in tow.
