Coast Guard District 13 received the SARSAT alert from the Fishing Vessel Starrigavvan which had wrecked on the South Jetty at Tillamook Bay . Coast Guard launched a helicopter to the scene. The helicopter crew hoisted all four people aboard the helicopter and transported them to a medical facility.

80 NM northeat of Fairbanks, Alaska
The AKRCC launched a helicopter from Fort Wainwright to the scene. The helicopter crew located the wreckage of a blown over aircraft belonging to two campers. The crew rescued the stranded campers and flew them back to Fairbanks , and released them to the Alaska State Troopers.

Bismark, Archipelago
The distress beacon automatically activated when the Fishing Vessel Dolores 830 sank after being hit by a large wave. The crew of 25 people managed to board their life boats. The Coast Guard Marsec Rescue Coordination Center was able to communicate with a sister vessel the Dolores 834 via Immarsat. Dolores 834 diverted to the scene and took the crewmembers of the sunken vessel aboard.

950 NM East of US Virgin Islands
The COSPAS-SARSAT system detected a 406 MHz distress signal 950 NM east of the US Virgin Islands. The sailing vessel Stella Di Mare struck a submerged object and suffered rudder damage. The Coast Guard issued a UMIB and the tanker Cape Bilbao responded. The Cape Bilbao diverted and rescued the two people onboard. The Cape Bilbao is en route to France with the two rescued persons on board.

18 NM Southeast of Kanatak, Alaska
The COSPAS-SARSAT system detected a 406 MHz distress signal 18 NM southeast of Kanatak , Alaska . The Fishing Vessel Hunter sank due to severe icing and the EPIRB activated. The four crewmembers boarded their life raft. Coast Guard District 17 launched an aircraft to the scene which located the life raft. A Coast Guard helicopter hoisted the four people off the life raft and transported them to Kodiak , Alaska .
